  * CCNEWS is an  electronic magazine  for campus computing center editors on
  BITNET to discuss common interests and  concerns about delivery of news and
  information.  Discussion  thus  far include:  desktop publishing, printing,
  operational  aspects of  developing  newsletters,  writing,  and computing-
  related   issues   relevant   to   campus  computing   center   information
  dissemination.  You  can  subscribe  to CCNEWS  by  sending  the  following
  command to LISTSERV@BITNIC via mail or message:

       SUB CCNEWS your_full_name

  * NICSERVE@BITNIC, the file  server  of the  Network Information Center, is
  being  replaced  by the  NETINFO filelist  on LISTSERV@BITNIC.  This change
  adds  several  features  not  available on the old  server.  NICSERVE  will
  continue servicing  commands until September 1st, 1988 to  provide  service
  to centers with limited time to change local documentation. The BITNIC will
  also update its documentation over this period of time.

  Some commands that are accepted  by LISTSERV  through  mail or  interactive
  messages include:

       HELP  -to receive a LISTSERV user help file
       INDEX NETINFO -to receive the LISTSERV version of this directory
       GET fn ft  -to receive a file, such as 'GET DOMAIN NAMES'
       PW ADD password -to give yourself a personal password at BITNIC
       AFD ADD fn ft NETINFO -to subscribe for automatic file delivery
       FUI ADD fn ft NETINFO -to subscribe for file update information
